Exploring Futures Ltd general data protection regulation (GDPR) policy is the responsibility of the Data Protection Lead (Sue Fitzgerald – Director of Exploring Futures Ltd).

There are two types of personal information that Exploring Futures Ltd may store about individuals that it is in contact with.

Exploring Futures Ltd stores general contact information provided by individuals, with their consent.  In the case of a school commissioning work to be undertaken with pupils, or a parent or guardian commissioning work to be undertaken with their children; only the contact details of the person commissioning the work will be stored. 

Exploring Futures Ltd stores special category data that is a sub-category of personal information, including client notes and provided by individuals with their consent.

Personal information may be stored either electronically or on paper.

A person’s details may be collected by Exploring Futures Ltd to undertake its business activities.

Any information stored electronically will be secured by encryption and/or password protection.

Any information stored on paper will be protected by restricted physical access.

Who has access to personal data?

The only people that may have access to personal information is the Director of Exploring Futures Ltd.

Exploring Futures Ltd will keep personal data for no longer than is reasonably necessary.

In the case of client notes Exploring Futures Ltd will securely destroy any sessional notes held for a client, 6 months after Exploring Futures Ltd has ceased to work with the individual concerned. 

Data will be kept up to date and changes made as required. If Exploring Futures Ltd ceases trading as a business, then all personal data will be deleted or destroyed.

Consent

Requests by individuals to obtain their contact or personal information held by Exploring Futures Ltd will be honoured.

Exploring Futures Ltd will destroy contact or personal information about individuals if requested by the individual but this might mean that Exploring Futures Ltd can no longer provide certain services to them.

Exploring Futures Ltd will update any contact or personal information that we know to be incorrect.

Data Breach

If a data breach means that any contact or personal information has been passed to others without consent, the Director of Exploring Futures Ltd will determine what further action may be required. Individuals whose data has been compromised will be informed.

Testimonials

Written testimonial and statements are provided by clients who have given their permission for testimonials to be used on the Exploring Futures Ltd website and on service/business leaflets.  Exploring Futures Ltd will delete and stop using an individual’s testimonial/statement at their request.

The Exploring Futures Ltd  can confirm at this current moment in time we do not collect any information regarding visitors to the website.   This may change in the future and if so, we will update the privacy statement on our website accordingly.
